        wow, a V-8 Standard, can't have been too many of those made! neat car...

        now that you have it home I would pull the starter and dust shield and see if you can shine a bright light up in there to see the condition of the flex plate... hope you are correct...

          Me too I've been walking around it (and under it) totalling up in my head the stuff I want to do to it... don't think the wife'll let me do it all at once!

          I confirmed that the rear end is a Twin-Trac. Tags are still on it - it's a 3.31.

            I wish my 63 was set up exactly like yours... I gots a OHV six with auto trans and a 3:73 rear. Lucky... (But my 51 has a four speed! <g&gt
