  • last part - stainless dr mldg needed

Hello Stude fans, am brand new to this, will see how it goes. Have had my 51 Champion 4-dr. for 4 years and am down to the last part before full restoration is complete. I am in the very remote north and stude parts are as scarce as hens teeth. Anyways cannot locate anywhere , part #291713 a stainless front-door moulding. Piece is around 35" long and 3/8" wide and weighs only maybe 3 or 4 ozs. Does anyone out there know of a parts car where I can scroung such a part? Both front doors are the same so either side will work. Appreciate any help I can get on this. Regards, Dave

In case anyone has such, Dave's talking about one of the stainless trim stips on the door upholstery panel. Left and right are the same, so one from either door would do.

Thanks, Mr. Biggs for elaborating on that. There must still be a '51 Champion sitting somewhere out there in the desert that can spare this part(stainless interior door trim strip) and I am certainly willing to put out some bucks + shipping for this item. Com'on guys, scratch your heads.......please?

I thought I might have one here. And truth is, I might. But a quick look at where I keep such stuff didn't turn any up.[V]

I have been talking to Stephen Allen on the same car, 1951 Champion 4 Door I am restoring. G10 W3. I think they told me they have a 51 parts car, give them a try, they have been very helpful for me. "Stephen Allen's Auto" 17402 NW 46th Ave. PO Box 559 Newberry, FL 32669 phone 352-472-9369 fax 352-472-7687
e-mail: info@mystudebaker.com". Better call though, I have not had much luck with any of these Stude Parts guys with email.

          Regards,

Thanks, Jerry. I had inquired with Stephen Allens, oh, a year or so ago but it was by e-mail. So maybe personal contact will work better. Thanks for the tip.
