  • 1954 Regal Starlight Coupe How Many Are There?

I am presently restoring a 1954 Regal Starlight Coupe. I have become very interested in their history and was wondering just how many are left? If you have one let me know and maybe post a picture for me. Thanks. Also reply as to its condition please. You can contact me at
dmanera@yorkcitysc.com I look forward to your reply.

There were 5,125 Champion Regal Starlight Coupes made (all factories) and 3,151 Commanders. Total of 8,276.

It is impossible to tell "how many are left". You can add up the ones that show up in the SDC registry, but that would be only those owned and reported by SDC members.

A good guess might be 10-20% are left.

Thanks, I have out that through my efforts there are not many around for parts. I am still looking for the interior trim that goes on the side panels in the rear seat. They are unique to the regal trim package.

Domenic, try the following vendor - they say they can make what anyone needs - just takes time, and they have a large range of upholstery materials - if they don't have it it doesn't exist!

Well here's one, originally from the Vernon, Calif plant. '54 Champion with some '53 trim. Still has flathead 6, but with a T5 transmission.

                        Studehunter,
I don't know where you live, but if you're not too far from South Bend, you may get plenty of info at the International Meet this June.
Even spare parts are a possibility.
