  • newbie - price check 58 golden hawk

    hi - i'm new to the studebakers and was wondering if i can get an idea of 'value' range of a nicely totally re-done 58 studebaker golden hawk - supercharged. any info you can share would be appreciated. any opinions on this particular car ? feel free to even email me direct at TAYPAT1@AOL.COM.

      Joe, we've seen excellent examples of these go for as much as $25K in recent times. Some for less, of course. The 58 IS a bit rarer than the 57. I only mention that because the two are almost indentical save for some very minor trim changes.
      It takes a REAL expert in Golden Hawks to tell a nice freshening from a real restoration. Shiney paint and fresh interior can bedazzle the uninformed. Proceed with research, not infatuation, and you'll probably come out OK.

        I have exchanged information with him via e-mail relative to pricing, rarity and especially the non-stock items on the car that he is considering. (This was before I saw the question here. I am not trying to cut this forumn out.)

            There were 878 '58 Golden Hawks and 4356 '57 Golden Hawks (4071 '56 GH)(588 '58 Packard Hawks).
