  • Undercarriage Photos Needed Lark Convertible

    Hi,
I am trying to restore some missing/rusted parts of the underside of my 1960 Lark Convertible and would love it if someone with the same car could post some pictures of their undercarriage. It is the outside side rails where the body supports connect the body to the frame or torque box? I don't know because mine are rusted away.
    Thanks for your help!
    Rhea

Not sure how different they are, but here's a "bunch" of the 62 Daytona ragtop i had. The ones were the car is red, is NOT my work! That's what I started with!

I am sure Barnlark would help in this matter, He has an awesome 60 convert! If not I can drag my rustfree unrestored 60 out of its(waiting to be restored)spot and take pictures. Ed

I have already sent some pictures of a torque box repair by a fellow forum member, but I can send pics of my factory constructed version when I get back to the shop. I've been occupied with the front end and new engine installation, sorry.
Rhea, do you need shots of the entire area, both sides, wheel to wheel?

            Rhea,
I took a few photos this morning of my 1960 & 62 Lark Convertibles. The 60 is a California car (no rust)and the 62 is a Florida & Maine car that couldn't have been driven much in wet weather. The 62 has an additional 2" by 1-1/2" "box" under the sill box (6" by 3"), likely for added strength. If you need more photos or measurements let me know. I posted the photos on Photobucket in an album at this link (I hope this works):
