  • Washer Bottle Decal

    Hello,

I am seeking information on whether or not anyone makes a reproduction of the decal in the picture. Mine is not in the best of shape. I know that some companies remake chevy and ford decals for those bottles. If anyone has any information, let me know.

    Thank you

How much of a hurry are you in. I have some of those bottles and can re-create the label exactly as shown.

We have all the artwork, and we still make the coffee mugs that look like the after market products. Kleen Treet, Special Motor Oil, Thunderbolt Motor Treatment, Haze Cream and a few others.

There is a water based dye, called Dr. Martins PH Colors, one drop will turn the contents back to green.

I am not in a huge hurry, I just noticed on ebay one day that washer bottle decals were being sold and was not surprised to see an absence of a studebaker one. How much would you charge for one? Or is their a way I could do it?

You can do it, you need a scanner, and a vector based drawing program like Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator, and a cloth tape measure.

Once you scan all three sides, you need to copy every line using the exact type face that was used. Studebaker as with others used typesetting fonts, and you will need to find each font. Drawing the logos are easy, it is the typefaces that will drive you to drink.

I think just about anyone with a late '50's to early '60's Stude would want one. Count me in too.
