  • Packard Story [warning picture]

I ran across this picture and made me think of a true story. My wife and I was going through Dodge City, Ks back in 1960. We had stopped at a Cafe for lunch and there was a 56 Packard setting out side loaded. Back seat was full a suction cup rack on the top and a 2 tongue 1 wheel trailer on the back and it was setting low. We were setting by the window and I told my wife to watch when they started the car up watch it level up. My wife couldn't believe it.

I used to store a friend's '55. I had more fun inviting people to sit on the rear fender then watch their expressions when they started rising...
