Yesterday I got a look at a Champ that I had heard about.Just 2 pics.

Definitely a 3/4 Ton long bed.
Maybe a Standard cab with added chrome grille, parking lights and headlight rims or a Deluxe Cab with the fender mouldings removed and a sliding window delete or change?

With those Lark Hardtop windshield mouldings, I'd say all the trim was added to a Standard Cab.

Is it a V-8 and what Trans.?

That might make you a good (hauler) truck with some TLC! [^]

V8. Owner said it was a 3-speed with overdrive which when I saw the floor shifter made me wonder how it could be overdrive equipped.I'll add the lousy pic I took through a window.

From what we can see from the "fair" pic. it looks like a top shifter from another make or model, with the shift tower farther forward than stock, most likely a 4 speed, but who knows maybe a 4 Over, or 5 Over![^]

There were those weird Ford Granada and Econoline Van, 4 Overdrives you know. [:0]

Looks like a nice farm-boy custom job there![^] I really like the Farmall red over white paint job with the added trim and turn signals. Nice truck. The location looks kinda easterly.

Heck, mine shifts on the floor and it's OD.

I have always found it odd that anyone would have ordered a Champ with those Class A turn signals...
While I think those big fender lamps look quite OK on a big C-Cab (and not even that bad on the smaller C-Cabs), they just seem to ruin the nice lines on a Champ. [B)]

Aside from that, all Champs had the parking lamps that easily accomodated front turn signals so why bother with the extra units stuck on your fenders?

              OK, end of editorial!

Let's see....is that a 400 IH Farmall and an IH Cub and a 1967-1972 Ford F-100 in the pics also? Let me know if you purchase the Champ and part it out as I may be in the market for some of its parts.

I have a 3spd overdrive in my champ, but that shifter is not in the same location, thus the questions as to exactly what tranny is in the truck. It looks like more than a parts truck to me. Yes, in my opinion those lights on the fenders are rather out of place looking, but if its a work truck and style wasn't a first concern whose to say they shouldn't be there?
