  • Avanti gas tank????

Hello does anybody have pictures of an Avanti gas tank? I seen one at York but didn't pay much attention to it. Now I think it would have worked perfect for my Toter. I need a tank for it but want to keep it Studebaker but it needs to sit behind the cab stradling the frame. If I recal the shape of it would be just right. Also it would be easy to use an Avanti sending unit for the fuel rather than some random tank.

Also if anybody has one for sale let me know.

I have a good tank out of an 82 Avanti. Always loved those Trailer Toter Trucks! Ed

        Hey Bob

Is the back flush with the wall? It looks like it would work great. I'd have to fill it on the pass. Side but other than that, are they heavy guage steel? It would be completely exposed so durability would be a concern. I have a heavy walled 27gl. Tank from an old combine that will work. How many gallons are the Avanti tanks?

The back is flush with the wall. It is 40.5 inches long and 14 inches wide at the bottom. Capacity is 21 gallons. I dont think it will last long without some kind of rust protection.
