  • Nice day for pictures...1955 Studebaker Commader

Got out the polish, then the camera and decided to go have some ice cream this afternoon. I feel bad for those folks that had to shovel snow this week.

    Beautiful! []

I miss my '55 Sedan. Great driving car for sure.

I like the last picture the best. The sun hitting that perfect black paint is great!!

Thanks Dick. The truth is, the paint is far from perfect. Looks pretty good in photographs and seems to turn heads alright. Nice thing about it being rough as it is, I don't worry about dings when I park 'er.

It's been about 5 years since I've posted or been on the Studebaker board. What brings me here this morning is my request for some help...

I'm donating our family's 1955 Studebaker Commander (as pictured above). It is going to be auctioned off this Sunday in Visalia, CA. Minimum / opening bid is $2,500. The car has been garaged and rarely used over the years. It's still in great shape and it's going to make someone a nice addition to their collection. If you are in the area, please don't miss the chance to pick up a really nice Studebaker cheap. I say cheap, because this auction does not ever include cars and will have relatively low attendance. The auction will be Sunday at George McCann school in Visalia. This is part of the 30th Fatima Celebration and fundraiser for George McCann. Thank you for looking!

It's always amazing to me what Studebaker designers did with so little money. The '55s were a good example in my estimation.
