I found this picture of this really cool lark on the e-net and was wondering what year it is? is this body mostly original or is their modifications done?

Appears to be '63 with all the trim removed.

Actually it appears to be a '63 with a '62 grille - look at the parking light lenses and the windshield

BTW is it just me or do Larks just look like they were made to have the front bumper removed? A little mesh in there and it would look factory.

                That is a '63, either a Standard (F2) or de-trimmed Regal (F4) 2-door sedan.

Standards came without any chrome or nameplates except for the ID on the front fenders, but the nameplate was the "Studebaker" script, not the "L A R K" lettering this one has. If it was a Regal, they had to have filled a lot of holes

I think it's the body side mouldings on the blue one that are throwing you off the body lines. They look cool lowered a bit!

They are both 63 Lark two door sedans. 63 Lark 2 door sedans came in three different trim levels. The lowest was the Standard (F2) and next was the Regal (F4) and the top was the Custom (F6). The Standard had no trim on the sides, the Regal had a solid piece of stainless running all the way from front to back, and the Custom had the same trim with a little check mark piece behind the front door. The Custom also had stainless trim around the windows, which the other two did not.

The best way to tell what you have is by looking at the body tag which is under the hood on the firewall on the passenger side. If your car was originally a V8 the tag should read:

63V F2 or F4 or F6 depending on the trim level

If it was a six cylinder the first number will be 63S

Oh, I just reread what you posted and you don't own that car, but it is a 63 Lark and the grille is a 63, but without the emblem

Here is a picture of the 63 Lark Custom that I used to own.
