    I AM LOOKING FOR AUTHENTIC PHOTOS OF ENGINE AND COMPARTMENT. 1958 GOLDEN HAWK. ANY BODY HAVE SOME.

    APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP....NOW I AM COMPLETELY CONFUSED. JOE HASN'T SENT ME PICS YET. BUT MY CAR # IS 610 SO SHOULD THE ENGINE BE PAINTED SILVER??.. IS IT MAJOR IF I PAINT THE VALVE COVERS AND FAN SHROUD GLOSS BLACK....THE OTHER IS SO BLAH LOOKING......
    IF THERE ARE NO GOOD FACTORY PHOTOS HOW DO THE JUDGES KNOW WHAT IS CORRECT??

    Joe Parsons has a 58 Golden Hawk that scores very high by the judges, so I assume it is correct. I have sent him an email asking for pictures of the engine.

        This is one I could find from a 58 Packard Hawk I used to own.Should be the same thing,hope it helps

                By authentic do you mean factory photo's of the engine compartment ?
                Because the photo I posted was a real engine in a real car,that had no modifications.Good luck on your quest for the "real" thing

                    I don't think I have ever seen a actual factory color photo of a 58 Golden Hawk engine compartment. There were some pictures on the brochures, but they didn't even make an effort ot make them accurate as to the way the engine actually looked in the car.

                        I think he wants pictures of a show correct 58 Golden Hawk engine. The pic you posted was as you say real, but incorrect in detailing.
