    November 62 this picture came out in "Hot Rod" Ted was the man then also, even at that speed he still won his class, and the chicken hawk just getting going, long remember the chicken hawk people the best there was...take a good look.note they called it a 54....Bob

      Yes! Note that was the first year The Chicken Hawk ran at The National Drags...and, not coincidentally, the first year (of 8 in 11) that it won its class!

      Fortunately, at age 16, I had the privilege of driving our 1957 President 2-door (Coppertone; white side inserts) out to Indianapolis Raceway Park and watching Ted take that 1962 Nationals win.[8D]
