  • 2011 Studebaker International Meet

Went to a meeting today for the 2011 International meet. The ball is already rolling. It is planned to be in Springfield, Mo. After the meeting I got to thinking I'll be 71 years old. I don't know if I will be here to go. Maybe I'll have the Parkview done by then. If I don't I'll drive the 51 which I've driven for the last 24 years.

I should have the Lark done by then and maybe the Dealer list who knows. But I have a question is the meet ever going to be in Dallas, Tx again? umm I missed it the first time around.

If we're taking suggestions, San Diego is an awfully nice place for a car meet

Except that it is 2635.83 miles and 38 hours and 36 minutes from me according to Mapquest!

I understand there are plans to hold the 2010 Meet in Arizona but they are having problems finding a facility for less than a couple hundred dollars a night. Any constructive suggestions should probably be addressed to Richard Dormois 1938studeman@earthlink.net

I like San Diego but it's hard to draw people from the west.

I haven't heard anything since last summer, when they were making
arrangements with Phoenix and Flagstaff representatives to give
their "best shot". Course the only time the rates are down in Phoenix
is during the summer months when it about 115 in the shade until
8 or 9pm and most of the city is enjoying the beaches of San Diego.
While Flagstaff is cooler, they don't have the facilities, and it
is vacation time....so their rates will be higher.

We can't find an affordable place for a Zone meet-
don't plan on an International here anytime soon...
