    That would work.. I know this would be a stretch, but if going the Caddy route, why not an early '30's V16? [:0] A 'First Series' Studillac of sorts. [8D]

    An unfortunate fate for that car, the seller calls it a Limo but with the 156" wheelbase and that huge body, it started life as a hearse or ambulance. I'd be interested to see if the rear door is still functional. The FE President limousine was on a 135" wheelbase.

    As for that powertrain, if the straight eight as beyond practical rebuild, installing a '48-'54 Packard straight eight would have been a more appropriate replacement. There are still many of those cars around that are realistically beyond restoration that might contribute their smooth rugged powertrains. When it comes to the sedans in those cars, one is better off to buy the best one that can be found for the price and just maintain it.

    I agree, Matthew. Maybe if this guy had gone all the way with all modern suspension and rear and A/C, this could be a great vehicle to haul people to car shows, but I wouldn't think it would be very roadable the way it is.

    I agree, Matthew. Maybe if this guy had gone all the way with all modern suspension and rear and A/C, this could be a great vehicle to haul people to car shows, but I wouldn't think it would be very roadable the way it is.

    Did anyone notice this 1930 Studebaker with a 429 Cadillac V8?

    It looks like it still has the stock front suspension, and maybe the stock rear end. It does look like it was converted to power hydraulic brakes, though.

    It is quite pricy at $65,000 BIN.
