Would like to verify engine and valve cover colors for 66 Daytona twice door. I assume it's the same as 62 to 64, black with yellow valve cover.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kim

Those would be the wrong colors. Early '65s (of which I've NEVER seen a single one) were yellow, but sometime in '65 the valve covers changed to black, with that cool '283' sticker on them!!!

I'm trying to remember what the colors were on my 66 Wagonaire's 283. Somehow I can't feature the valve covers being black as well as the block.[:I]

I failed to mention, my 66 Daytona is a 230 six. When I worked in a stude restoration shop, we did a 66 Cruiser with Mckinnon V8 and it was painted black with yellow valve covers.
                Thanks again,
                Kim
