We can only assume, but is she related ?

This of course may be a dumb question (not my first)

It would be nice if the SDC members could show our support for this young lady. Maybe a commerical on NBC might go over our budget as a club but maybe a donation to the US Olympic Team: Team USA. I just started with $20

It is my understanding that no one immigrating to the United States has been registered with the name Studebaker since the original three, two brothers and a cousin, arrived in Philadelphia in 1731. That means, if the name is Studebaker, you're related; not descended from the five Studebaker Brothers, since none of them had male descendants, but, certainly from earlier generations on their family tree.

I think she legally changed her last name to 'Studebaker' to get more media coverage being that Studebakers are extremely popular with young people and are still being manufactured up in Canada.
