the 1942 they have is a 1941 and it won't work

but we have determined a 42 or 46 will work

The 42 sedan that they have is marked as a 41 in yellow marker on the body but is really a 1942. I've already picked a few small parts off it. They also have a couple of 1939 and 1940 or 1941 coupes, vary rough. I wonder if they are looking at then instead. What makes you think a 1941 sedan deck won't fit.

Starlite51, I have one, it's off a '42 4dr. I don't know the condition, cause it's in the back seat, and I haven't been able to open any of the doors. I'll try harder if you still need it. I'm going to part the car out. and what I need is the front clip, if it will fit a 2dr. coupe. My coupe must of ran in to the back of your friend car :-)
