  • Cool old pic with a '37 Stude in it.

    I got this photo in an Email mostly beacuse my grandmas last name is "Potthast", as in the restaurant shown, but after looking at it a little closer, I noticed this '37 Studebaker! This photo is from 1940 in Chicago.

            Ah,ok! I see the car, but from the angle, it almost doesn't look like a '37, but it may just be me.

                  I first thought Lower Wacker Drive(which unfortunately is known more for homeless now than gangsters), because of the construction of the street, but if its State Street and Van Buren, that would be the "El"(for Elevated Rail, a passenger line around the Loop) above it. Coincidentally, that is also a station stop above her location.
