Xtopher, was that photo taken recently? Got any stories to share of your day working for Studebaker in the engineering building?

That photo was taken today right before I got on the semi to go to the aviation plant. Stories of work, it was so cold that we are all starting to go crazy and LIKE the cold![xx(][:0] Ok, maybe not.[][)] Almost had an LP tank go nuts on a forklift today, was leaking really bad and couldnt figure out why, then one of the guys poped up a valve in it and almose had an LP shower. LOL

If that Champ could talk, I bet it could tell a few stories. You got any details on it? Shouldnt you be in bed by now being that you have a job to go to in the morning?

Could that be a new windshield in the Champ?

Dave obviously got to keep the company car

Only joking. You have to love the fact that it's still on the road and in service.
Full of character that money can't buy.
Has Dave covered the floors so his feet don't get wet?

There really ought to be a judging class for that kind of beauty. That truck would be a Class 1.

I remember seeing that Champ a couple of years ago. I was surprised that you could see the driver's side front wheel by looking in the passenger's side window! This truck has been immortalized by Google and their Google Maps Street View project. Unfortunately, the evidence point to a scenario where it might no longer be shown. Here are two photos - I don't know the date of the first, but the second is the photo on Google today (but obviously not a snowy day). I imagine there will be a time when Google drives by that address again and the truck is no longer there.

See that little man in the bottom right of the second pic. Move him to the left so he can get into the truck and let him drive it to my house.

Those google pics are interesting. Has the CAB been replaced on the truck, or are they two different trucks? One has a white cowl and the other has chrome around the windshield.

I'm guessing that he can't see the tires from inside the cab anymore as he apparently replaced the cab and front fenders.

Yea, Dave got a nice California cab not long ago, or so I heard.

I have always admired that Champ. It's doing what it was built to do.
