  • Eli Spicer--obituary

Eli Spicer was a very prominent figure in Studebaker history. At one time he had the largest Studebaker dealership in the world. Eli Spicer was a very active supporter of the Studebaker National Museum. An interesting history is in the obituaries. Anyone living in the Michiana area was aware of the Freeman-Spicer dealership.

Does anyone know what became of the Freeman-Spicer "Grand Champion" trophy that was first awarded in 1988 and then for the next few years? The recipients received a plaque, but the trophy was originally located at the Museum and stood some 4-5 feet tall.
