UPDATE for picture locations - 1/06/09

Well, its been a couple years since I have seen it, but due to some recent
interest, it was time to get some current pictures. The current caretaker
removed the damaged fender and put on the matching rusty one that I got
a few years ago. He also slapped on one of his Hawk hoods. He took off
the parts we agreed he could have, and there it sits. It is about one hour
from my house, up at a Ranger Station. Nice curvy road to test out the
    handling/brakes on the Impala. :

Its got a set of Chrysler 15 inch wheels on it, I got this over 10 years ago
and put them on my Avanti. I believe they are 6 inch wide. The rear leaf
springs are heavy duty ones from a guy in San Diego.

The trunk lid was pretty banged up when I got the car, I went through a
few over the years, but the original fit the best. It needs some straighting.

I did this paint job on the roof about 15 years ago. Its Krylon! Its held up
rather well, and looks pretty good. It was done in the street! [:0]

The dash board got pinched in the crash, the top survived, but the bottom
    got cracked. Its probably salvagable.

Looks like the floor is still in good shape.

I hope the trash truck driver is careful!! Same color as the dumpsters!

The "rusty" fender lines up better with the body than I thought it would, he
said that he could have got some bolts in. He also doesnt think the frame
is bent, I still do - maybe its easier to let go that way?

Windshield survived the impact, though there is firewall damage.

Sittin around for over 10 years takes its toll. I had it all painted flat black.
Though those arent the fenders/inner fenders I had.

Did I mention it was up on a mountain?

One last look before heading home ....

On the way down the mountain I had to stop for this ...

I can't really see the damage. I have a 57 SH with a rusty floor and dented up roof that could be a donor car. How much of the a pillar do you think needs replaced?

My first car was a 60 Hawk, I still miss it. There is another thread about dreams, well once in a while I dream I'm driving that car... I've probably driven it more miles in my dreams than I ever did in real life!

Noticed something odd though, yours has the heater on the drivers side and what looks like a patch on the passenger side. Mine was on the passenger side, did yours have dual heaters and one was removed?

Nice pix. I agree, the location looks lonely. Looking at some of these I can hear Vince Gill singing "Go Rest High On That Mountain" in my head...

You know I am not completely sure, the floor got bunched up near the
dimmer switch, and the damage goes up to the upper hinge.

Here is a picture before the later fenders were installed:

Yes, the car had dual heaters and LOTS of rubber hoses underneath. As
a kid I removed all the parts to simplify, and living in California a
heater is only needed one month out of the year.

Good eye, yes to all you mentioned, I didnt like the fins, and one was
bent when I got the car so off the came. I got the tail lights and a
set of rear fender stainless off a parts car. Seats were split bench
but had Porsche 924 seats when it was wrecked. It is a 1960 Hawk.

I am offering the car for sale here :
