    Leonard, That could easily be my dad by the dump, and his dad in the dragline. Dad has told about driving a '41 Studebaker dump truck, and his dad throwing gravel into the box. The new Chevys would tear up clutches, but never had any trouble with his truck. But by their ages in the photo, it could be. Dad was in Ind. at the time, and I think the R.G Mall truck is some where in Mi.

      I still get a kick out of the Stude in Porky's pulling wheel stands when tearing down the bar..lots of nice iron in that movie...kids having fun...

              I flew in one the last time I was in England, quite a nice plane.

              An early commuter airliner or bisiness plane and predessor of the famous Mosquito wooden fighter-bomber.

              The engines were also made by De Havilland.
              Fairchilds had in-line Rangers.
