    WE HAVE A WINNAH!

    Everything got sorted out and we have a winner of the "First annual" Barrett-Jackson "What the heck did those Studebakers sell for?" contest.

    Congratulations to [u]Anne F. Goodman whose guess of $147,000 was a mere $3,000 off the mark!

    Thanks to everyone who played. We'll do it again sometime!

        I'm so embarrassed, since I'm one of the guys that is supposed to be driving up Studebaker prices with my ebay sales. My guess was 50% of the actual sale price and I'm a adviser for the NADA guide. I'm at a loss to explain a 76K M series when my top book is 17K, or a driver Golden Hawk at double high book. I'll suggest NADA moves slowly on those two results at least.

                    Not anymore. If I get another nice R2, Golden Hawk or the like, I'll do Barrett Jackson. I'd bet I could build a nice M series for under 75K. It looks like Ed Eliss's 50K at auction 4 wheel drive was the bargain of the century compared to the M series. Watch for nice Studebakers to come out of the woods once the results get around.
