The big question was whether the so-so economy and housing market would put a damper on muscle car prices.
So far it doesn't look look like it has.

Although a more representative appraisal will come from the final numbers of the other Phoenix-area auctions (Silver, Kruse, etc.)being held away from the TV lights

That's the one they grossly UNDER advertised! They had it as a Lark VI complete with all the 6 cyl. specs. from a Motor's Manual or sales brochure or something (because it used to be, had a VI on tailgate)... only problem is a real serious Stude. guy had replaced everything with V-8 components, the bozos never opened the hood or didn't know what they were looking at, if they did! 41Frank and I were at the auction again today. Saw where the Lark wagon was sold. I never did see the hood opened either day so we just assumed it was still a 6. The 57 Golden Hawk should go late afternoon Thursday. Great weather and big crowd

The Lark wagon went for $9,000 (gavel price).

NOTE: On the Barrett-Jackson web site their 2007 Results adds in B-J's 10% commission on all gavel prices. Thus the Lark is shown as $9,900. The $9,000 gavel price is used for my "contest".
