The price seems to be about right to me (not "a bargin"). There is still more than three hours for the auction to run, so it may go still higher. It is a nice car, but color and four doors work against it, price wise.

I'd have to agree. I think that's all the money for that car.

I find this to be an odd statement.
I have purchased Studebakers out of North Carolina because people there didn't think that they were worth the price.
If you think this 1962 Lark sedan is a bargain, buy it and have it shipped to you. The cost of shipping shouldn't increase the price to more than a fair price from a bargain price.

It looks to me to be priced fairly. I don't want to demean anyone's sensibilities, but its a 62 4 door. It is one of the least desirable models. I know there are some who love the 62s. I like them too, but they are one of me least favorites models. I think the only 4 door I would want is a 64. But that's just me. This car, though nice, is selling for as much a one who likes 62 4 doors is williing to pay. A 50 Biz Cpe just sold for $15K. It was a nice car, but not original. The market will almost always determine the value of any car.

5,275 dollars AND thirteen cents is what she brought. Sounds reasonable to me. Then again, four doors don't turn me off, and I happen to be fond of '62's.

BTW- There's a '63 in the recommended items list that looks rather "Steinkampy" LH

New term. (right up there with PISTINE and Lark Shine).

$5275 sounds like a great bargain for a car that nice. Someone got a winner.

Makes me wonder how many Desert Tan / Flint Taupe cars were built odd it doesn't have a Tan interior
