  • Went shopping for a Lark but found this ...

I don't know much about the Packards only that they were a part of Studebaker at one time. This one had a straight flat-head eight in it. The VIN number under the hood was 2362-5-23796. She was pretty rough. Anybody know what year it might be or what it's worth?

That is a 48-50 Packard Junior Model (Standard or DeLuxe Eight). Top of the line were called Seniors (Custom Eight). One just went on eBay for $3,500.00 which looked in better condition than this one.

What was that 61 Lark like?

This Lark actually sold recently on Ebay for $396.

The interior was in better condition than the pictures showed. They had a battery sitting on the front seat and tires in the back seat. I looked through the glove compartment and all the registration cards were in there from new. I believe it was a one owner car. It had the usual fender rust. It had been bumped in the front right corner which pushed the fender back into the passengers door just a bit and creased it. The door bound on the fender making it unable to open all the way. It was a VI which started but wouldn't stay running, needed carb work. Maybe I'll kick myself for not bidding on it but decided to let it go. I'm looking for one with a V-8.

Anyone know who got the Lark? I was the back bidder

I would have bid more, but with the wagon coming from Dick.....[8]

Maybe the new owner will want to get rid of it once the "honeymoon" wears off.....

I'm looking for a 60-63 with a V-8. It doesn't matter if it is a 2 or 4 door. Never thought of a ragtop but wouldn't put it out of the picture. I'm not looking for a show car but not a junker the same. I want one that I can drive without worrying about getting a little dirty.
