    Is anyone watching this auction? sorry I don't know how to link the auction to the forum, if any one on the forum is interested in the car but is worried about the rust in the trunk and upper back panel I might have the answer, I have the full trunk pan and back section all in one maybe we could work it out and I bring it along with me to Minnesota in Oct. leaving on the 4th so I know time is short $400.00 with free delivery along the way..Bob 510-266-2522 or e-mail candbstudebakers@sbcglobal.net

          I see where he states that the owner bought the car in N.C. I doubt that the car spent a lot of time getting that rusty in N.C. I also think that the seller is understating the case with his "little body work" comment. However, with folks like you Bob (Rescue Bob)...returning the car to its former glory is possible.

                I notice that the rubber trunk lid seal is missing on that Hawk. I'm guessing that rain went thru and sat in the trunk until it rusted enough holes through to drain out! My '63 Hawk is from CA and is rusted similarly...in fact, the right-side of my gas tank fell down in Cedar Rapids being that the mount pulled through the floor.

                  Here is the rear trunk pan I have I can bring it with me if needed. only surface rust , even the rubber grove is not rusted out , dent on driver tail light area easy fix.

                    Just be careful to get good pictures of the frame- it could very well look like the one we discussed about a month ago, with that swelling and rust between the frame rails and plates. Usually will need a frame replacement to fix it right if that's the case[xx(] If you're not from the Northeast you may have never seen it, but it is NOT pretty...

                    If the frame looks good, the floor pan work doesn't look to hard to replace.
