Nice photos, thanks fo posting them.
I enjoy stories about foreign chapters. I can appreciate that owning a Studebaker over there is really a labor of love.

        A couple of questions...
What do non-old car people think about Studebakers?
        Do they know the name?
What kind of comments do the Avantis receive? Are people surprised it's American?

Some older people seems to remember those Supercharged Power Hawks with Packard motors that their neighbor or onkle had in the -50:s and -60:s.
Some people remember "comming or going"
            Others never heard about Studebaker.
We have a lot of GM, Ford and Mopars from -50 -60 and -70:s.
At a car show, maybe one or two Studebakers at 1000 of those.

And if I am sitting behind the Avanti. Every 5 minute I got the statement.
            -This is an unusual car,
            or,
-I have never seen one of those before,
            or,
            -What is it?
            or.
            -It is made in Canada.

Some comments we have heard when driving the Avanti in the city, with windows down.
            -That was uggly..
            -What a nice car.
            -Oh whats that.
            -That looks funny.
-How can they drive an uggly car like that.
            -The last one they did.
            From a young girl
            -F*ck That is an Avanti.
From an lady with gray hair.
            -Hot, very good looking car.
            From a kid.
            -Cool car.
            From a man.
            -Congratulations to a great car
            From a kid
-Daddy, daddy, daddy look, daddy, daddy, daaaaddy, look at that car
From an older lady to another older lady.
            -Its a Studebaker.

It's great to see such an active bunch of Studebaker lovers in Sweden. Great looking cars and they drove them in the rain. What a concept!
Thanks for sharing those terrific photos.

We just stop by when going home from Stude meet.

It's fun hearing about how non-Studebaker people like (or don't) the cars.

My first Studebaker in 1964 was a 57 Silver Hawk. Arctic white and black. Similar to the one in
the photos. Strangely you do not see that color combination. Wish I still had that car.

I am not that familar with Sweden, but my friend who is an old car guy lives there(no studebakers for him yet, but trying to put him in a Studebaker tandem axle truck we have here in the states)
