Filling in the details

For those who raised issues about 'repairing a rolled Studebaker', Leonard has posted an article which I wrote for our local Chapter newsletter. The article is in the same thread which Leonard started several days ago. The 'hood', donor car, background are all addressed.

Frank, I was going to post these pictures of the parts you were able to save off the donor car on the original thread but my computer was "not responding" [xx(] at the time and I forgot.

I might add that Frank has done far more than his share to save Studebakers from the crusher, even to the point of fighting city hall for the right to store them on his property!

Here are the parts saved. The rest of the car was too far gone.

I saw a non disc brake '66 Lark type this weekend with disc brake wheels. I don't believe it was ONLY the disc brake cars that got the disc brake wheels. I think MOST did...especially '64 and later. I can't tell by the pictures, but Frank could probably let us know if the wheels on this parts car have the "extra" ridge near the center that is associated with a disc brake wheel.

I think the Avanti has disc brake wheels which are different from regular wheels.
