  • Why won't it crank!?!?

Everything looks okay. Not sure why it won't start... Any ideas?

Could be that spring to the carburetor

Maybe the battery hold down has shorted out the battery. Many Stude owners remove theirs for that reason.

It's obvious, Matthew, can't you see the fuel line crimped
right behind the oil filter? I am sure it will start right
up with a new fuel line.

Looks like you need a smudge pot lit underneath to warm it up real good. Then she will fire up.[:0]

If you leave a Studebaker in the barn too long, the gas will go bad. And the rats will gnaw through the valve covers . . .

The mouse nest in the left valve cover has jammed a push rod, which keeps the engine from turning.

Nothing a little Bondo and a coat of paint won't fix. I'll look for it on eBay next week.

Should give "Showbizkid" the incentive he needs to redo that wiring harness - piece of cake next to this "clean-up"! [:0]

It was my own mistake. [xx(] I forgot to turn the key on before hitting the starter button. Once I fixed that issue, she fired right up! [8D]
