Just showed up in the mail 2day. Nice 61 Lark on the cover. And, as always, good articles to read.

Go ahead, rub it in! I just got August a few days ago. I know, don't be a CASO and get first class. As usual, it was worth the wait, especially the great article by Matthew.

As I was sitting here by my computer reading this post I asked myself.Hmmm why does why does bonehead in New Yersey have his TW and not I? I just mentioned this to my wife after I had asked her if we got any mail today and her answer had been "No honey, just advertising"[}] She finally fessed up and told me to get up and she pulled the September TW out from underneath my chair cushion. There should be a law against torturing your spouse like that.

Well, I just received my August TWs in the posr today. Great color sections & also Andy Beckman's first " Off The Records " article to somewhat replace Dick Quinns respected Almanac column that is now semi retired. Congratulations to Andy on his inaugaral article.

I figure after reading Bob Petersons replys about it taking a while to get his copy of turning wheels each month I started checking on when mine would arrive and it was usually a few days later, which leaves me to believe that pony express hits northern California first and then makes its way down to the southern part of the state
my August issue arrived last week and as usual it was a great issue. Blake

Hopefully there will be improvement in the delivery of our beloved [u]</u>Turning Wheels after the first of the year. USPS Regional sort center will change and should improve the US delivery by several days. Overseas delivery should generally be in the current time frame.

I understand that paying extra for 1st class, the magazine comes earlier but, why does it take upwards to a month to receive them the other way ? Aren't they shipped out at the same time ? I can see a week or 2 extra but a month..

Turning Wheels and Avanti magazine are shipped at the media rate and is not a priority a item for the USPS. However the regional sort center where the publication enters the mail system has a hand in the speeding of the delivery process. I think in a few months there will be some improvement in the delivery of our beloved magazine. I guess only time will tell. I live less than 200 miles from the center that receives the magazine for distribution and as of yesterday it was not in my PO Box. I guess the handlers are reading it.
