  • Window channel for sliding roof Wagonaire found

After a request from Scott Rodgers in another thread, I believe I may be able to secure a very limited (as of now) quantity of the channel for the rear window on the sliding roof wagons. I sent some to Scott and he said it was the right stuff. This would be equivalent to part #'s 1353577 and 1353598.

How much interest would there be if I could provide enough material for the top piece that fits on the sliding panel and the two side pieces for $50 + $8-10 (est.)for shipping? (In a sturdy tube) The two side pieces need to be bent and this is the correct accordian-style, cloth covered channel to do that.

I do not own or have access to one of these cars.
Could some one tell me exactly how long the side pieces need to be? Also, are the clips available? Maybe if I had a picture or sample I could locate them as well, if needed.

Not sure what this stuff really is, but have a Wagonaire coming, so I would definitely be interested. Keep us posted!

It's the flexible channel that goes in the rear window slot in the sliding roof panel and also along the sides of the rear window (above the tailgate). The rest of the channel is rigid, like on the rest of the car. The pieces I bought from Kurtruk were exactly what I needed for these areas.

I'm interested in the clips too, so I'm subscribing to the topic.

Part numbers are 1353577 Same part for left and right, and 1353598 for the longer upper section. If you've got a body parts book for 59 thru 64 cars, on page 228 Illustration #s 2131-69 and 2131-70 show these pieces. The clips used are part# 3247X1

Are those clips (3247x1) illustrated anywhere? Anyone supply them? Anyone have a used one for a sample?

I'll have to look into shipping to Ontario, Canada.

Can someone tell me exactly how long the side sections need to be? If I can get that dialed in, I may be able to drop the price--a little. Right now I'm going way overboard on their length, just to be sure.

This is for the sliding roof wagons only. At this time. If all goes well, I'll try to work out the stationary roof wagons in the future...

Thanks for the feedback. I expect I can ship out a few next week.

I'll see if I have any clips from my old piece - it was pretty badly rusted though. I remember searching SASCO's site for the clip part number - nada.

                            Hi Ian,
This is Tony from Minnesota. I'm the guy with the full package R-2 Wagonaire. I would be very interested in the tracks that go around the back glass. My e-mail is studeboy@frontiernet.net
                            Thanks Tony

The clips on my piece are so rusty that they probably won't photograph well, so I'm not going to bother. However, they look like the ones in the latest Stude Intl catalog as 1882X1 - this is on page 50/ Window run clips. Can anyone else confirm these are the right ones?
