  • Am I nuts?

Don't answer that, I already know what you're gonna say. [:I]

I reeeeeeally want a Wagon. My granddad has this '64 Daytona Wagonaire, original a 289 FOM car in Astra White. (Bob Palma Special. ).

All it needs it doors, rocker panels, front floorboards, rear quarter panels, a front clip, engine and tranny, a tailgate, new glass, a paint job, and a complete interior.

IF I can round up enough parts, I MIGHT fix the thing...

So, anyone have a set of rockers and quarter panels? (Or maybe cut off the lower portions from a parts car, I can weld them in). I have a line on a tailgate, hopefully he'll sell it.

Or... Maybe someone in the Southeast has a better candidate? I'm not picky. As long as it's buildable and CHEAP. I found 2 57 Packard Wagons, priced at $3K for the pair. If I had the cash, they'd be heading this way. [xx(]

Matthew: I have no idea if Glenn still has this car, much less if he would entertain a trade.

I received this from him July 17.

It is either Jet Green or Horizon Green, I forget which. If it was Astra White, I'd probably own it!

Feel free to e-mail or call him. It doesn't hurt to ask. BP

Hi Bob: I know you have a lot of contacts in the World of Studebaker; do you know anyone who might be interested in my 1964 Daytona Wagonaire?

As I explained when we spoke on the phone, this is a rust free example of the wagon and has I believe most of the options available in 1964. I need to sell this car as soon as possible. I am asking $9,000 but would listen to offers.

I can be contacted by phone at 513-793-3485 or my cell phone 513-236-5497 or by e-mail at gaj432@cinci.rr.com.

              Thanks. Glenn Johnson

Hmmmm.... usually the desire to have and hold a Station Wagon is related to some sort of "nesting" instinct?![:0]

Thanks BP, I doubt he'll be interested in a trade, but I'll email anyways.

Mark, I want one to haul stuff around to Stude meets with. Besides, wagons are just cool.

I thought this one looked pretty decent if they would infact consider a lesser offer:

How about you toast that wagon body, save the frame and find a solid Champ cab and short bed. You can haul everything in a lower, smoother style and still be cool. [8D]
