It doesn't start until 5 pm Central time this evening for the pre-war stuff. Post war cars and parts start at 9am CDT Saturday. Last report had 100+ pallets of parts and 5 or 6 wagons as well in additiona to all of the cars/trucks.

My brother and another member left at 3AM this morning to be there for the sale Saturday. He's pulling a trailer and hoping the trip is worth it.

I sure would bid 50-75 on a 59-60 trunk lid by itself.
I'm not going to be able to make it to try bidding on a parts car.

We had about 35 bidders this evening from Kansas, Nebraska, and farther away.
Many of the parts went for low prices IMO.
The '28 Victoria went for $1700, and the '42 Champion went for $50 (the engine is worth that much!)

Here's the link as a reminder.

And Bob - hope you bid high on the Wagonaire!
There were several people eyeballing it closely this afternoon.

Chris, thanks again for the work you put into the pictures for us. Wish I had more vacation time. Those 2 door wagons are about where I'd like to start and get into one cheaply. Can't tell the extent of rust on the rear fenders, though. The '60 looks amazingly dry up front. The front fenders must have been beauties. Gone.

I'm told they will start auctioning cars at noon.
Since it's the nicest one on the place, I bet they save it for last.

Hey John ,,,way to go !
I tried to buy the Wagonaire , I was the high bidder but at the end the owner claimed he wouldn't let it go for less the 5 grand . Nothing was mentioned about a reserve up front. Needless to say i wan't very happy . Anyways glad you got that truck

Well, Bob - there were some fellas from Texas there that thought THEY were the high bidders.
As it turns out, I was willing to pay the reserve (which wasn't very much higher IMO).
You could have had a very nice Wagonaire for a great price.

And very well bought, too - I might add.
The other bidder wasn't sure that someone was on the other end of the auctioneer's cell phone.
                              Enjoy it!
