I have also been looking for 30+ years. Had a set once for a 4 door sedan, sent them back to the SD junkyard. Now wish I had not. They were not as complicated as I thought they would be, but still don't have any.....

How much would you be willing to pay?

Forget the blinds, I'm just looking for a good StarLight Coupe.

My wife spotted the ones we have (NOS) at York 4 years ago. Some of us are more fortunate than we deserve!

I sold a set at York probably ten years ago- buyer didn't bat an eye at paying my $600 price. I had gotten them (NOS) from Bruce Jones back in the mid-'70s, but had sold the Starlight Coupe I bought them for. That was the only set I have ever seen.

Finally talked to my buddy with the shades. He said he had 3 NOS sets for Starlight coupes, but sold 2 of them. (One set at Cedar Rapids). He has one set left, and is saving it for his Starlight. Sorry fellas. I tried.

Hi Mathew, In reference to the discussion about venetian blinds for 1950 starlight coupe....

Could you ask your friend if he's willing to rent the blinds he has so John hire someone to copy them?

I asked him. Being it's his last set, he won't let them out of his sight. He said that it's nothing against anyone, just that he's loaned stuff out before with poor results. In years past he has offered up some of his rare NOS parts for people to reproduce. Years later, he still doesn't have his parts back, and there are no repops around. I think he did manage to get his NOS 51 gravel guards back after 5+ years.

Wow, that would be a expensive task. Making a few dozen steel slats of different lengths, tack welding and coating.

They way they make Mini Blinds for houses shouldn't be that hard to make some.Maybe he could take some measure ments close up pictures of how the mount in. can't see where it would be that hard. Heck Home depot does custom ones.
