How about tellin us , how long did you wait for the Studebaker registration to arrive from the DMV, if you did, or didn't fill out correctly?

It was completed within minutes once they visually inspected the serial # and I produced the required paperwork (Done in person).

I'm currently dueling with DMV here in California with some paper for a car I sold. It does not take too long to get the paperwork back, but they always seem to need more information. We are on the 3rd or 4th go round with them. I'm hoping this is the last request.

I have gotten registration/ownership for every Studebaker right away at the DMV (no title for any Studebaker in NY). This applies to Studebakers purchased all over the country. The one exception was when I wanted to change from egine number for the VIN to serial number for the VIN. They said that I had to get a statement from an authorized dealer. I said that if they could find an authorized dealer, I would get the statement. They settled for a pencil tracing of the serial number plate.

I currently have a title issue with a later car that I sold that belonged to someone that is now deceased. What is good for one state is not good enough for another.
