  • California cars, and extended vacation to Cali

Okay guys. You know I'm here in michigan. Well from mid-febuary to April I'm planning to be taking a long overdue vacation. I'm thinking to head somewhere maybe slightly warmer then michigan. Also part of the trip is to visit my 17 year old cousin in the Long Beach area who is hospitalized indefinately for injuries substained from susicide jump of three stories. So California it is....

I'd Like to find some decent Studie to buy & drive back home. I'd perfer a 53-58 sedan, but would consider a 59/60 or 64 lark. I want something that is mechanically solid. I don't care about perfect body or interior. Looking for a "driver" not restored, and NO high price cars.

Also any thoughts where it is economical to stay for a month or two would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Kent

Drop me a e-mail and I'll check my stock at Sal's in Sacramento, unless high priced cars means anything over rust belt car prices. I should have a few in the 4-6K range.

My maximium price is about $2500 - $3000. Basically a JDP's 6k car before he buys it

I don't expect to get a running car for $500, duh[] Only running Studebaker I ever bought for under $500 was a rusty lark from South Bend; but thats another story.

My grandad got this little Lark for $400.00 a few months back. We've put a clutch in it, but that's it. Darn thing runs good.
                        Deals are still out there.

One of Dick's Lark Shines would really help it a lot.
