  • Bought a 63 R1 GT Hawk

Sal found it for us, we had followed it through 2 price reductions, then bought it. It's a HD Flight-o-Matic TT car with disk brakes. White with red vinyl, condition 3 driver. Pictures in a day or two, on ebay by the weekend.

Here's some quick pictures. Not a show car, but with a 7K reserve it should sell. Going on ebay this evening.

John, what's the down under look like? Is the gauge panel made from Aluminum flashing? I like the buckets. Not a bad car if the under is good. Priced right if so. jimmijim

It's a very solid car. I think the wood grain was just stripped off and the metal was polished.

                        Hey Sal ----

nice pics using a "full" Folsom Lake as a back drop --- you are getting fancy with those pics--never saw that car on my "stude radar screen"

(I live on the other side of the lake --also the new "Homeland Security " bridge also makes a great backdrop for car pics)

Thanks John, but the funniest part of that particular photo was the fact that I was paying so much attention to lining up the shot with the backdrop, that I didn't see the woman squatting through the window. I was headed originally to the northern shores of the lake, but they had the roads closed for paving. The choices of locals there were slim at best. BTW, John, when you say you live on the other side of the lake.... do you mean Johnny Cash's old address???? JK

I use the lake to shoot cover pics

there is another 37 dictator coupe that just surfaced in diamond springs[]

If the gauge panel is a deal killer, I've helped JDP recover those with vinyl "woodgrain" before. The radio surround and glovebox door are hard to do neatly, but it's cake easy to do the gauge panel and it is practically indistinguishable from factory when done.
