  • California bungee at work

I just picked up my new 1954 champion coupe from my friend dave , we traded his 54 for my 54 wagon, my new car has its share of rust out as seen in some of these pictures, good thing all good fenders and trunk came with the car, floor is still a problem....Bob

Those new and improved self-energizing drums should run cooler like that! Of course, they've got less weight to haul to a stop as well![:0][V]

That isn't rust out, that is built in tow bar mounting holes for pulling it behind a RV. Studebaker was ahead of its time you know, lol.

No the holes are really there for cold air to that big neck snapping whip lashing 170 engine with tons of power....Bob

Wow, that really shoots down my prior mindset about all CA cars being rustfree!!

              But it's only sheet metal.

You've got the holy grail in good grill surrounds.

They aren't...but this one is a Tennessee car. It may be the only collector car that was transported FROM the East TO California [:0].

Makes my barn find coupe seem positively gorgeous! There's not ONE rust hole in mine. Not ONE! Not trying to put down this hillbilly heart throb, just revelling in having found one so solid.[^]

'scuse me for a moment.... I think I'm gonna go out and lay some kisses on it.[:0][][:X]
