Can't you see the Studebaker nameplate on the frame?

May be a stupid question, but what does the 19 stand for? Speed limit, mileage marker?

I'm thinking this marks a road along the oregon trail, Sante Fe Trail or a historic wagon trail in any area (i.e road/highway 19) I've seen similar signs and trying to find a good example.

Then again I've been known to be wrong.

            Love the old sign []

I think I saw a sign like that on a back road in Ks. or Neb. a couple of weeks ago.
