What cool looking dash. Also note the driver and passenger side door panel appear to be different(Pass. has white insert?)
And I'm dying to know what the that big fluted spaure thing goes to in the last picture.

Yes I'm interested in maybe buying it. I'm following you with the hubcap part though.

The other three look like '61s.

I'm trying to get some opinions from you nice Studebaker people as to whether it's a wreck or not.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it'll cost more to restore the example pictured then a buying a more solid car would. As a guide, here's a rust free 61 I just sold for $5000 and that's about the cost of new sheet metal and chrome on the car pictured. Of course, not saying cost is the only thing to think about, but it a factor.

No these are not my pictures. It is a 1961 Hawk that I'm interested in buying. So far everybody has been very helpful in giving me a crash course in Studebakers and living with them.

Ok, didn't connect the two posts. Looks like plenty of work ahead of you, but not a wreck. How are the floors and frame? To me, $1500. tops, but I'm not a Hawk owner. As BP stated, fairly rare and unique being a '61.

Thats what another member told me as well. But darn them Hawks are cool looking cars. I'm 34y/o with a wife and kids. I just sold all my toys(Camaro, and a Triumph). I've been looking to get something else that I could tinker with. "BUT", I have to admit, as much as I like to tinker I hate Body work. I've had 60 cars and 9 of them were Camaros. As much as I love them I was thinking about getting something different on the cheap and taking my time to fix it up.

They're firm at $2000.00 Barn. JD, that looks like a real nice one for $5k, it's shame its sold.

Even the good ones have plenty of tinkering to do on them! If you've had 60 cars at 34, you know that. What JDP said..find a rust free one for 5K or around there and have fun fixing it from there. [8D]
