It does, however, look like there's at least two more contenders for "American automobile manufacturers that have successfully emerged from bankruptcy" thus making Studebaker no longer unique in that respect...

What are you saying! Studebaker was never in bankruptcy. I know that being in bankruptcy is among the erroneous information that has been put up in the SNM. Studebaker was in receivership.

Studebaker-ignorant or not, I'd give her a... ride...

Linda saw this thread and said "Kelly Ripa- Would you?"

          I said "I would".

I'm assuming she meant invite her to play Parcheesi.

She is the co-host with Regis Philbin of the "Live with Regis and Kelly" daily syndicated TV show. She is also a TV show producer. She does TV ads, TD Banknorth (I think) for one. She used to be on a soap (All My Children - IIRC). She is married to Mark Consuelus(sp).

She also replaced long time co-host Kathy Lee Gifford whom the show used to be called Regis and Kathy Lee.

Gary, what exactly was the original context from which this statement was being used? Was she simply joking, or ribbing the producer if he actually owns Studebakers? Btw, she was an actress long before she was on this show, and while it's easy to attack someone's knowledge without knowing them, we should be tactful with any emails. I've worked with her a few times in the past. She has more on the ball than you think.
