  • Turning Wheels Cover Car Surfaces after 49 Years!

Who knows what interesting things might be uncovered through a simple "New Member" post on a given day?

Scroll down through the posts to the following topic until you come to the Production Order for new member "Skinny's" interesting 1960 Lark Police Car. Then scroll a little farther until you come to my post that starts out, Bingo!"

Thanks to Forum Lurker Tom Beckman, older brother of Studebaker National Museum Archivist Andy Beckman, for the good memory that put these pieces together.

    Cool beans! BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

    That is soooo neat..
And a very good reason for all of us to strive to keep the environment of all of the SDC forum positive, and inviting!

Here's additional information from Tom Beckman that was included in his original e-mail alerting me to this possibility. (Tom lives not too far from the subject location):

"The police station in that photo is on Vliet Street and is just east of the Wauwatosa/Milwaukee dividing line. This is about 3 miles from where I work.

I did the engineering on an addition to the building a while back, so I recognized the photo location. It is now known as the Radio Repair building."

      Thanks again, Tom. BP
