You refer to your car as a "Regal." Are you sure about that? I do not believe that that option code would apply to a Regal.

I'm sure a package like that did exist for a Regal, which, as Mike(hotwheels63) states is the cigar lighter, rear armrests, and possibly a RH sun visor. The '63 gold salesman's book doesn't mention it, but the build sheet wouldn't lie. Dodge was well known for grouping several options into packages on the low-line Darts, Coronets, et al, such as 'convenience group', 'light group', etc. I owned a '74 Dart many years ago that had 3 options: automatic, AM radio, and the 'light group' which consisted of the signal indicators on the front fenders, glove compartment light, trunk light, map light and the dome light that operated on all four doors.

Thanks for the clarification. I kinda like having the low line car.. its easy to get the parts for not too much chrome and doesnt have the expensive parts to replace, ie hydrovac, power steering pumps, etc.

According to Fred Fox's list in the Feb 99 TW, there is no similar package for the Regal. My guess is the Regal came with those items since it was not the bottom of the food chain. Option 80 ONLY applied to Standard's and Heavy Duty's. You could even option the items in the 80 package separately (but only on Standards).

Any chance you can post a copy of the production order, Bob? Maybe also check to see if the SN plate on the door jamb still shows the original spot welds.

here is the production order. I hope its legible. The welds on the car are factory. All numbers match including the block with the production order. The body tag clearly shows 63s-Y4

I think they put option 80 on there so they would not forget

The items it includes would probably be standard equipment for that car.
I've seen lots of Regals without cigar lighter, ashtray guard, glove compartment light, and the horn ring; another accessory that was probably part of the '80 conv package'

                            Craig.
