  • looking for L & R factory mirrors for '52 Comm.

I am looking for L&R factory mirrors for a '52 Commander which were different than the Champion. I already have the mounting holes and plates on the doors.....Brad

As Leonard indicated the repros are available but don't expect the passenger side to be the least bit usable. They look good but cannot be pivoted enough to provide any visibility.[V]

I'm not sure why some current catalogs specify different mirrors for Champions and Commanders. Studebaker didn't. They offered the Stratoline and the Strat-O-Vu for either model. The Stratoline is the taller of the two, and offers a little bit better line of sight, on the right side especially.

Stratoline was not available until 1958 and Strato-Vue in 1962, so none were used on Commander or Champion.

Confusion caused by Studebaker's recycling of names. I was referring to mirrors from 1947. That Stratoline is AC-1400. The 1958 version is AC-2918.
The 1947 Strat-O-Vu is AC-1853, and the 1962 Strato-Vue (note the spelling difference) is AC-3310.
