  • Pictures from Pacific SW Zone Meet

I am pleased to report that the meet came off pretty much without a hitch. By last report we had 85 Studes registered and quite a few more that wandered in and out or were over at the swap meet. Over 100 in all I'm sure. Other than being a little toasty on Saturday the weather was perfect. The venue was also excellent for the event and the hotel took good care of us, the BBQ on Friday and Banquet on Saturday were both quite tasty. Folks had a great time at the Aerospace Museum and we were even treated to an unexpected fireworks show on Friday night. I'm sure others will chime in with more details. I've uploaded to my Flickr page over 300 photos that Jon Stalnaker took along with some of mine. Jon tends to be a little trigger happy with the camera, I did try to thin out the obvious duplicates, there are some excellent shots. If you missed it, wish you coulda been there. Was great meeting so many nice folks, Looking forward to the International Meet next year in AZ.

I went back and cleaned a few more duplicate pics out of the Flickr set. By the way, the picture of that Mercedes being winched on to the roll back shows what happens when you park a brand X on our Studebaker show field! Actually the poor guy could not get it started in order to leave and had to call AAA. Check out the great shots of all the cars, some of which sleepless Jon took at 3 a.m. Lots of sleeping Studes! Also some great people shots from the Friday night BBQ.
