    Thanks Matthew, since we just got a 61 Lark Hardtop that was great.

        Gee, it's so much faster than a... HORSE[?][?][?]

        Oi, no wonder the company went out of business. Just kidding. Seriously though, that comparison may have meant something to the people of the twenties or maybe, early thirties.

        Other than that, it was a nice presentation. I like the other two on U-tube better.

          Oi, no wonder the company went out of business. Just kidding. Seriously though, that comparison may have meant something to the people of the twenties or maybe, early thirties.

                My Daytona has the OHV 6 with auto trans. I guess a horse might be the only thing it CAN outrun. [xx(]

                        Having not seen the ad in question...
                        Is it possible it was designed to be shown during Mister Ed?

                        Or if it wasn't...perhaps it was to go for the Lawrence Welk Show audience (with the average age of its vieweres being about the same as the age of Buick buyers today)those watching the show in 61 could certainly remember the horse/buggy days....and maybe the Civil War too!
