  • 63 Lark Regal

I've come to a point where I need to part with an old friend. I need to sell my 63 Lark 4dr,V8, automatic. It's been in my family since new. It was purchased new in Memphis,Tn. from Jack Chamblin Motors, local Studebaker dealer. I did a complete restoration back in the eighties. I finsihed it in time for my dad and I to go to the International meet in Indy 1986. All mechanicals were replaced or rebuilt at that time. Since 86 it has accumulated a little over 100k miles. Engine still runs strong, trans as well. It had always been a rust free car until It had to set outside for 2 winters here in Michigan. It's been in a barn covered up for the last 4 years. It's been used as a daily driver off and on for the last 23 years and has made numerous long distance trips over the years and never failed to get us there and back. It's kinda needy now, such as factory oil leaks, exhasut manifold gaskets, interior redone and so on. I do have correct seat covers still wrapped in plastic that we purchased from Phantom about 11 years ago. Door panels were put on new about 8 years ago. It's painted the original color, Ermine white, with blue interior. I've got lotsa parts including NOS rockers. Rockers are starting to bubble.
I realize sentimental value has no bearing on the actual value and the harsh economy doesn't help either. I also realize that these Larks are considered to be "run of the mill" and rather common. I'd like to get 2k for it. I don't have a digital camera, so I can't post pics. I'll shoot some pics and have them put on a disk and send them to anyone that has an interest. Give me a call and I'll give you all the details.
    Thanks,

Kim, sorry to hear you have to get rid of your car. I hope it finds a good home - cars become a part of the family after a while.
