  • Spring Carlisle

The local ABC affiliate had a report about the Spring Carlisle swap meet on the evening news today. The focus was on the millions of dollars that this event brings into the local economy. The accompanying footage showed only two vehicles: a "rat rod" truck and a gold GT Hawk.

    Anyone there this week?

I was there all day Thu and Fri. Didn't see the GT Hawk, as I spent most of my time looking at parts. I did see a very nice 60 Lark four-door, still with its Stude V8, but with a high-back bucket seat, custom interior that looked like it came from a late Camaro.

I was there, saw that blue lark and a 1953 stude with chevy drive train. I did not see much in stude parts. I was not looking really as I needd parts for my 1955 Chevygreat turn out.

I just got back from Carlisle. Here are the Studebakers I saw.

I have all the phone numbers, if anyone is interested.

The seller was asking $14,500 for this 63 GT Hawk, with 41,000 miles

The seller was asking $9,500 for this 60 Lark

This 53 coupe was at Carlisle last year and it was back. He is asking $39,000.

This 63 Champ was also at Carlisle last year and it was back. They are asking $7,000

I went to the Carlisle auction house. The auction was Thursday and Friday, but there ware no Studes today, but I saw this banner on the wall.

I am trying to figure out that Hawk. It looks like it has both 1963 and 1964 grille emblems.

Kind of like the Champ pick-up that has 63 Lark hood emblems mounted on the fenders...
